I was honored to help out this family of five with decorating their new home. It was a brand new build so I got to work with a blank canvas. The homeowners did an amazing job with selecting the finishes. No doubt these entrepreneurs had enough on their hands with operating their business and managing three kids so they hired me to help decorate their new home. Keep reading to see the design plan I created for Project Thomas.
The Must Haves
The owners wanted lots of storage, multiple seating areas for hanging out and hosting, a functioning office space, and a relaxing space for Grandma. Colour choices were light but colour pops were added through textile choices and artwork.
The Design Plan Main Floor
Above you can see the fully furnished floorplan for the main living area. We have a more formal living space in the front of the house, dining area, semi-closed in office space, powder bath and a family room with the kitchen in the back of the house.
I love doing a full floor at a time because it’s so easy to pull the entire look together. This particular floor is very open concept so having a cohesive look is very important for the initial visual impact.
