Hey beautiful!
I have always had an interest in makeup and skincare and that interest has just grown into a full on obsession over the years. My skin has changed over the years and makeup trends sure have changed as well. Since having a baby I try to select clean beauty as much as possible but I haven’t transitioned completely. I have included Sephora’s “Clean at Sephora” logo beside all clean products.
My main skin concerns
- Dark Spot Correction
- Hydration
- Anti-aging
- Large Pores
- Sun protection
- Clean ingredients
Majority of the products I am using now contain AHA’s (glycolic & lactic acids) so it’s very important to use SPF when using these ingredients.
Here are some of my current favourite picks from Sephora

1. IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser
This cleanser is a dream! It has anti-aging serum in it and it leaves your skin hydrated and soft after every wash. It’s super gentle and it takes off all my makeup
2. Glow Recipe Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask
I use this a couple nights a week and my face looks so plump the next morning. It’s formulated with watermelon, hyaluronic acid and AHA which gently exfoliate and refine the look of your pores. I use it as the very last step in my nighttime routine.
3. Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
This is a new fave of mine. I’ve recently been looking into products with Retinol to help with anti-aging. Keep in mind that this ingredient is a no go when you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. This super creamy formula is meant to be worn at night as an eye mask but you can also use it during the day in a lighter application. When using retinol always wear sunscreen as it can amplify the suns intensity.
4. Dr Brandt 24/7 Retinol Eye Cream
Another new fave this time release Retinol Eye Cream from Dr Brandt is another game changer. I looked more awake, less puffy and it helped with the milia under my eyes (little white bumps). Again because this contains retional make sure you use SPF protection.
5. Origins Mega-Bright SPF 30 Skin Tone Correcting Oil Free Moisturizer
I like to make sure my moisturizer has SPF in it because I want to protect my skin and this way it lets me skip one extra step. I’ve tried many different moisturizers with SPF and there are some good but lots of bad options. This is my FAVOURITE moisturizer. It’s a creamy, hydrating but light feeling cream. It gives an amazing glow, I’ve never had a moisturizer that does this. It actually glows through my foundation or cc cream that I don’t have to use highlighters. It also has colour correcting properties which to be honest I haven’t noticed a huge difference in the dark spots that I have but I don’t care because this moisturizer is so good!
6. Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Overnight Cream
My skin has always been on the dryer side and this moisturizer feels so luxurious when I put it on at night. It;s a very rich cream but it sinks into my skin fairly quickly. It has brightening properties to help fade dark spots as well.
7. The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics
If you don’t know about The Ordinary you are missing out. Their line of products are no nonsense and straightforward. The deliver the goods at unreal prices. And if you’re wondering if they work and are that affordable, I can tell you they do! This serum is the first thing I put on my face after cleansing and toning. It provides super hydration. When I don’t use it I can feel a huge difference. The other bonus it “fills” in my pores and makes them practically disappear.
8. The Ordinary 100% Plant Derived Hemi Squalane
This is usually my next step in my skin care routine. Squalane is another super hydrating ingredient. The “hemi” refers to it’s molecular weight and it dries feeling very light. You can also use this on your hair to smooth out frizz.
9. OleHenrikson Glow2OH™ Dark Spot Toner
Another new fave, this dark spot toner leave a tingly feeling which always makes me happy because I know it’s working! Again trying to target dark spots on my face this toner has been a crucial step. I only use it at night before serums and moisturizers. This is another product that must be used with SPF as it contains high potency AHA’s.
So that’s my current roster of skincare products that I use consistently. I’m always open to trying new things or changing it up seasonally. Let me know what your favourites are so I can give them a try!
