I am so excited to finally share the reveal of Project Cavotti. I’m calling this one the Modern Coastal Kitchen. Bright white cabinets paired with a beautiful ocean mist island makes the space feel light and airy. This kitchen is built on Ikea’s Sektion cabinets and all door fronts and panels are from Kitch Canada.

But First, a couple of Before’s

Outdated and beige everything. The space was originally used as the Dining Room by the previous owners

And now the After

The door profile is Kitch’s Slim Shaker profile which is a contemporary version of a classic shaker but with a super thin rail. As I mentioned this entire kitchen is built on the foundation of Ikea’s super functional Sektion Kitchen system. Every square inch is maximized for storage. This is THE ultimate #ikeahack, no one would ever tell it’s an Ikea kitchen!

We choose a very interesting quartz from Lucent Quartz and extended the stone up the wall as our backsplash. The soft drift-like patterns makes the stone feel cloud-like and ethereal further adding to the soft coastal vibe of the space.

On each end of the island we used the “Gruv” panels, which is reminiscent of a refined shiplap again a nod back to the coastal vibe. The island is in Kitch’s colour Aloe, which was so tricky to capture on camera! It’s a beautiful soft pale green but it’s reading blue in the pictures.

We choose satin brass hardware with a faucet to match.

I wanted to add some natural elements back into the space so we choose Light Oak Counter Stools from Article and natural rattan pendant lights for above the island.

We also added a sneaky appliance garage in the corner for my client’s blender and toaster oven.

I am so happy with the final result of this kitchen! Let me know what you think!
